Q: What happens if I purchase a wrong set of tires?
A: We always contact our customers before processing an order (usually in minutes). We will make sure the tires you are getting are the perfect size for your vehicle. You will also have the opportunity to make an appointment while on the phone with one of our representatives.
Q: How much does installation cost?
A: If you buy the tires from us, depending on the tire profile, (thinner profile tires are much harder to mount), the installation will cost from $10-$20 per tire. Balancing is free. You will also get free rotation and balance after every 5,000 miles. This will make sure all your tires wear out evenly, and will maximize tread life and your safety.
We put new valve stems on all tires ($2.50). If you choose to have us dispose of your old tire (disposal is done according to environmental regulations), this will cost another $2.50.
Q: What does “depending on profile” mean?
A: The profile or the “Aspect Ratio” of the tire is the second set of numbers in tire size marking. For example in 275/65/17, the 65 is the Aspect Ratio. If the aspect ratio is above 60, the cost will be $10. Tires with Aspect Ratio of 50-55, will cost $12 to mount. Thinner tires, having ratios 40-45 will cost $15 to mount. Tire with lower than 35 ratio will cost $20 to mount, as they are the most labor & time intensive and require much greater technical expertise.
Q: What is “Rotation and Balance”?
A: These are maintenance techniques performed after a vehicle has done a certain mileage on a set of tires. For more information check out our “Services” page, or click here to go to “Rotation” and here to go to “Balance”.
Q: How long does shipping take?
A: This depends on how far you live from us. If you are in California, your tires will usually arrive the same day your payment clears.
