__1. Name, Model, Size, Part # and Expected Mileage explained

On the top of the page in our example you will see Falken Ziex ZE-912 86H”.
The title of the product tells us some informaion about it. Falken is the brand name, Ziex is the name given to this particular line, and at the end you will see 86H. These last 3-4 figures tell us the load and speed ratings of the particular tire. For more information on Load and Speed ratings, click here.

The second line “[2892-1452]” is the product id, or model number. This is of no importance to the casual buyer.

On the third line, the size of this particular tire is shown in red. “Size: 195/60/14”.
The first set of numbers, “195” is the width of the tread at its widest point. The second set “60” is the aspect ratio, and “14” is the wheel (rim) diameter. For more information on tire sizes, and how to locate your tires’ current size, click here.

Average mileage expected: 60,000”. This is not the mileage warranty of the tires. This figure shows the average mileage customers have been getting out of this particular tire based on our records. If you see an “NA” in this section, this means we do not have enough recorded data in order to calculate an average figure.

__2. Price Explained

$59,95 in our example is the price of the particular tire. This is the price of one tire. On the product page, you will see the price of the product before taxes and shipping (in case you decide to have them shipped to you).

__3. Default Quantity Explained

On the example above you will see “Quantity: 2”. This is the default quantity of the product that will be added to your shopping cart if you click on the “Add to Cart” button (7). You can change that number to anything you like. The reason the default number is 2, is because that’s what the number of tires from the same kind majority of people buy at once.

__4. Picture (Tread design) Explained

On every product page you will see a picture of the product. The picture is there only to show the tread design of the particular line. Images only depict typical sizes, and depending on the size that fits your vehicle, the sidewall and tread will be narrower or wider.

__5. Tire Description Explained

The tire description is the actual manufacturer’s description of their product. All specifications, figures and claims in the description are courtesy of the respective manufacturers. In order to find out what people think about the product, click on “Reviews” on the bottom of the product page.

__6. Review Section Explained

Reviews” is what people who have bought this product have to say about it. Many consider this a more reliable source of information that the manufacturer’s description and we understand the importance of that. For this reason, all customers of American Tire Centers can Rate and Review any products they buy at our store.

__7. Shopping Explained

The ‘Add to Cart” button will add the item to your virtual cart. If you have not signed in or registered, all items in your “Guest” shopping cart will be added to your “Member” cart as soon as you register or sign in. After adding the products you desire, you can click on checkout at the top left corner of the screen, under the shopping cart options.
